FAQS

  • Every CCH site is built for cold chain logistics from the ground up. Facilities include insulated multi-temperature cold rooms, container-level loading docks, high-volume staging areas, and blast freezers capable of rapid temperature pull-down. Floors are graded for drainage, airflow is controlled for hygiene, and all spaces are monitored 24/7 for temperature and compliance.

  • Each site follows the same operational and compliance standards, but every facility is physically tailored to the products and industries it supports. Some are optimised for fine picking and fast dispatch, others for high-volume frozen storage or portside seafood offloading. Regardless of the location, every CCH facility runs on shared systems, certifications, and a single SLA.

  • No. Our cold storage solutions are built around your supply chain, not our footprint. Whether you're storing frozen goods inland or exporting citrus through the coast, we will coordinate the right facility, route, and temperature profile. Our network is designed to move product, not limit it.

  • Yes. CCH operates a connected cold chain across Southern Africa. We move product between facilities using temperature controlled transport, internal linehaul, and shared visibility systems. Whether you need coastal staging, inland buffer stock, or cross-border continuity, we manage the physical chain under one SLA.

  • Yes. All our critical infrastructure is supported by backup generators, auto-changeover systems, and on-site fuel storage. We monitor temperature and power integrity in real time, and have operating procedures in place for extended outages. No product leaves spec due to load shedding.

  • Yes. Our sites are built for industrial throughput. Most have wide turning yards, high bay doors, multi-dock loading, and designated container zones. Facilities near ports are designed for fast offloading and export prep, while inland hubs manage fine pick, consolidation, and regional delivery.

  • Yes. Export-capable sites are certified by PPECB, DALRRD, and other relevant authorities. We follow steri protocols, phytosanitary handling, and TITAN integration for fruit exports. Additional certifications include FSSC 22000, HACCP, NRCS, MSC Chain of Custody, and VPN 42 PRRS where applicable.

  • Absolutely. We encourage site visits for new customers. You’ll be able to walk through the cold rooms, staging areas, generator plant, loading docks, and control systems, so you know exactly how your product will be handled.
